Apply a small amount of the CLINICAL treatment in the evening over the face and neck to cleansed skin. Avoid the delicate skin around the eyes. Limit initial use to three evenings per week, then gradually increase frequency as tolerated by your skin. For first time use, we suggest that you do not use it when also applying an AHA or BHA exfoliant. If you'd like to use both, apply one in the morning and the other in the evening. Monitor your skin’s response and if no sensitivity occurs, this product can be applied at the same time as your exfoliant. Apply the SPF moisturiser as the last step in your morning skincare routine and allow a moment for it to dry before applying makeup.
Research shows that the natural anti-inflammatory properties of bakuchiol makes it easier for the skin to tolerate retinol. It is one of the rare ingredients that makes retinol more effective by stabilising its action. Bakuchiol cosmetics can even work better than products which contain ingredients that are usually used for this, such as vitamin E.
To get the right amount of protection apply the product liberally. When skin is exposed to direct sunlight you’ll need to reapply every two hours. If you plan to swim or if you sweat you must reapply.
